Department of Social Work, N.S. Patel Arts (Autonomous) College, Anand organized 16th National Youth Parliament Competition (Group Level) under the aegis of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India.
The purpose of the event is to sensitize youth about the various parliamentary practices and procedures and develop debate skills, leadership quality, and articulate their thoughts for the various local, national, and international issues. Participants learned about role-playing, sociometry, and group discussion skills. They are also learned different parliamentary practices such as obituary reference, Question Hour, Zero Hour, Calling of attention motion, breach of privileged, private member resolution, and legislative business by experimental learning.
Shri Lalsinh Vadodiya, Ex-MP, Rajya sabha, Dr. Tarun Arora- Group Coordinator, MoPA, GOI, and Dr. Baldev Agja, Professor, Dept. Of Political Science, S. P. University, Vallabh Vidyanagar presided as a jury members of the event. We are indebted to all the jury members for their valuable time and constructive suggestions.
