N S. Patel Arts College in Anand is one of the most respected and long-standing institutions for higher education in the Anand district. Founded to promote accessible and value-based education, the college remains a center for academic excellence, personal growth, and cultural enrichment.

Established in 1970, N. S. Patel Arts College operates under the management of the Sardar Patel Education Trust (SPET), Anand. The college is named after the Late Shri Naranbhai Shankarbhai Patel, whose generous support helped create an institution focused on lifelong learning.

In its early years, the region faced a shortage of quality higher education options, especially for girls and students from rural areas. SPET recognized this need and aimed to create a college that would increase educational access while promoting character, values, and social responsibility

Founding Vision

N. S. Patel Arts College was built on three main objectives:

To offer affordable, inclusive, and high-quality education to students from Anand and nearby villages, ensuring opportunities regardless of socio-economic status.

OBJECTIVES

  • To offer UG and PG courses in humanities and social sciences to enhance intellectual, interpersonal and development of students.
  • To use higher education as a means for transforming the socioeconomic and cultural development of the surrounding community and to attain the status of a campus that cares.
  • To enrich the teaching learning process through modern technology and improve infrastructural resources.
  • To take steps to bring value added education within the reach of learners by offering scholarships to both meritorious as well as economically challenged students.
  • To undertake ongoing faculty improvement programs by offering faculty members opportunities to enhance their academic advancement.
