History is taught as a main subject from the day the college established in 1970. The department runs Bachelor of Arts in History as a main course. Curricular and co-curricular activities are actively organized by the department. The department also organizes student-oriented activities like celebrating birthdays of great people of historical importance, film shows, guest lectures and various workshops. In previous year, the department has organized numerous state and national level seminars in collaboration with other departments.
